Network Infrastructure

Our Infrastructure

We build our network with speed and reliability in mind - selecting only the best infrastructure available in each location.

Bare-Metal at Key Locations

In Greece, we operate fully owned bare-metal hardware. At select additional strategic locations we run our own, directly operated bare-metal servers - dedicated resources, maximum performance and full control over the hardware. We are continuously expanding our own network to new locations. See our infrastructure in Greece or the guide to a Greek IP from abroad.

World-Class Data Centers

For our global coverage we partner exclusively with the world's largest and most reliable data centers. Every location is selected against strict criteria for uptime, latency and physical security.

Scalable Network

Our network grows continuously. We add new servers and locations based on user demand - so you always have a fast connection no matter where you are in the world.

What is a VPN Server?

A VPN server is a specialized computer that acts as an intermediary between your device and the internet. When you connect to a K1VPN server, your traffic is encrypted before it leaves your device and appears on the internet with the server's IP address - not yours.

Your choice of server affects speed, latency and which regions you can appear to browse from. A server close to you gives lower latency and higher speeds. A server in another country gives you access to content from that country.

K1VPN uses the WireGuard® protocol - see all the service's available protocols. This means your server is not just a gateway to the internet, but an encrypted, low-latency tunnel that does not retain activity logs.

After connecting, check which IP you're showing with our IP checker tool. You can also run a separate DNS Leak Test to see whether your DNS queries are leaking outside the connection.

WireGuard® Protocol

The fastest and most secure VPN protocol. Less code, fewer vulnerabilities, maximum performance.

Strict No-Logs

No server logs your activity, your IP or your connection timestamps. Ever.

Up to 10Gbps Backbone

High-capacity backbone at every location. No congestion, even at peak hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right server?
The K1VPN app automatically selects the best server based on your location and network load. You can also choose a country or specific server manually - useful when you want to appear in a particular location.
Why should I use the Greek server?
If you are located in Greece, the Greek server gives you the lowest possible latency and the highest speeds. It is also ideal if you want to access Greek streaming content while travelling abroad.
Can I switch servers freely?
Yes, you can switch servers as many times as you like with no restrictions. Every K1VPN plan gives you access to our entire global network.
Does server distance affect my speed?
Distance primarily affects latency - not necessarily data transfer speed. Thanks to the WireGuard® protocol and our up to 10Gbps infrastructure, even servers in distant countries deliver an excellent experience for browsing and streaming.
Do you add new countries and servers?
Yes, our network is constantly expanding. We add new locations based on user demand and our analysis of where more coverage is needed. This page updates automatically every day.
